Alpha Finance Lab has today rebranded and launched a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) fund to help accelerate the growth of Web3.
The Alpha Venture DAO will be “a Builders’ DAO,” and will offer a decentralised venture capital fund run by the community, Alpha Finance said in a press release.
The DAO’s mode, according to the Bangkok-based DeFi studio, offers its community members a platform to contribute to projects and in return have a chance to own high-quality ventures before they launch. It’s like a ‘front-row seat’ to those seeking to explore opportunities in Web3.
But specifically, the venture brings together Web3 builders, operators and a community of users who share in the vision of advancing Web3 development via cutting-edge projects.
According to Alpha Finance CEO and Alpha Venture DAO fo-founder Tascha Punyaneramidtee, “the Web3 industry is still in its infancy,” and as such, will benefit from an “agile” approach towards creating value for users.
This is why we don’t limit ourselves to only building in-house products, but we also started incubating external projects in order to grow into a multi-chain dApp ecosystem. Hence, the ALPHA token will be a proxy for Web3 innovation.”
Over 50 industry leaders and influencers
To help with the innovation, Alpha Venture DAO will tap into support and mentorship from Terraform Labs and Alpha Network. Projects will also benefit from the advice and support of more than 50 industry thought leaders, investors and influencers.
Among those to give incubated projects investment and expert advice will be AVA Labs, the Spartan Group, AlphaLab Capital, Multicoin Capital, SCB10X, Jason Choi, and Darryl Wang.
Project founders will also access help from industry leaders at crypto exchanges Coinbase and Bitmex, as well as from Crypto.com Capital, Band Protocol and Acala Network among others. Some of the projects currently incubated under the DAO include Beta Finance, pStake, and GuildFi.
