Astar Network’s zkEVM mainnet to be released in February ── Launch campaign held | CoinDesk JAPAN

Astar Network, led by Sota Watanabe, announced on February 1st that it will release the mainnet of the Ethereum blockchain layer 2 network “Astar zkEVM Powered by Polygon” in late February. Immediately after, the launch campaign “Yoki Origins” will be held.

According to the release, Astar zkEVM is a network that supports Japanese companies, brands, anime, and other Japanese IP to expand into the Web3 international market. The company is currently developing use cases in collaboration with several large Japanese companies and projects, and plans to make an announcement soon.

Immediately after the mainnet release, the launch campaign “Yoki Origins” will be held. Distribute and sell NFTs provided by over 40 Web3 projects, creators, and large companies in capsule toy format. By collecting these NFTs, you can grow the original character “Yoki”. Participating projects will be announced soon.
