Binance CEO CZ: world’s 11th richest person at $96B net worth

The world’s largest crypto exchange Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is now the world’s richest crypto billionaire at $96 billion net worth. While the figure itself is astounding, it does not even include the CZ’s crypto holdings.

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is the first pointer to estimate Zhao’s holdings, which was left for much contemplation up till now. The 44-year-old crypto entrepreneur has surpassed the net worth of Mukesh Ambani, who is Asia’s richest person and chairman of the Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg has not thrown CZ’s crypto holdings into the equation, which may take his net worth to a much higher level. The founder and CEO has a significant amount of Bitcoin and Binance’s in-house Binance Coin (BNB) tokens under his name.

The index calculated his net worth based on his 90% stake in Binance which generated more than $20 billion in revenue in 2021. However, since Forbes has placed CZ’s stake at 30% of the total shares, his assets could be subject to evaluation.

Although Zhao has not revealed his crypto holdings, he recently told The Associated Press that his personal holdings comprise the majority of his net worth.

If taking into account his crypto holdings, CZ’s net worth could be at par with the likes of Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Even without it, the 44-year-old CEO’s assets have significantly overshadowed his rivals’ net worth, including FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried’s $22.5 billion, and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong’s $9.6 billion.
