Invest in Memeland
Binance Labs, the VC arm of major cryptocurrency exchange Binance, has announced that it has invested in SocialFi’s virtual currency MEME token. The specific amount was not disclosed. MEME is up 14% from the previous day.
MEME is the native token of the social phi project “Memeland” and is also listed on Binance. Memeland operates as an independent Web3 venture studio of the popular meme platform 9GAG.
In addition to MEME tokens, Memeland released “THE CAPTAINZ” and “THE CAPTAINZ” NFT collection last year. They have also introduced a point system called “MEME Farming.”
Going forward, the company plans to introduce features such as a unique NFT staking mechanism, a social network for community members to collaborate, and liquid staking of ETH to improve the user experience and encourage community participation.
Binance Labs’ portfolio includes tokens from various Web3 projects. Last year, it also invested in tokens from protocols such as CyberConnect, Arkham, and Pendle.
