Popular crypto exchange Binance recently found a creative way to promote its brand. The exchange has launched an advertising campaign with NBA star Jimmy Butler ahead of the Super Bowl championship, which warns prospective crypto users against celebrity endorsements and urges them to do their own research.

Trust yourself.

Binance’s latest stunt comes just a few days before the NFL championship league, which will publicize some of the biggest names in the crypto industry. FTX and Crypto.com both have spent hefty sums to purchase advertising space and time in the arena, along with multiple celebrity sponsorships.

However, the world’s largest exchange (by trading volume) has taken a different approach. In a teaser posted on Twitter by Binance, the five-time NBA star Jimmy Butler remarked:

“On February 13, you’re going to hear some of the biggest names telling you to get into crypto. But they don’t know you or your finances. Only you do. Binance and I are here to tell you: Trust yourself and, of course, do your own research. Be on the lookout for more before the game.”

The teaser is part of an advertising campaign set to be launched by the crypto exchange on February 7.
