The crypto-asset (virtual currency) market continued its downturn on the 17th from last week’s big rise on the 13th, with Bitcoin (BTC) dropping about 2% in 24 hours, along with a big drop in altcoins.

Bitcoin fell to $29,679 at one point on the afternoon of the 17th, and at the time of writing this article (around 5:00 on the 18th Japan time), it rebounded slightly to $29,900, and reached 30,000 at around 7:00 on the 18th. It has recovered to around $230. Ethereum (ETH) also fell to $1,880, down about 2% in 24 hours.

Altcoins fell even more sharply. XRP (XRP) partially won a lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), leading a big gain on the 13th, but fell 4.4% in 24 hours. Solana (SOL) and Stellar Lumens (XLM) also fell more than 4%.

XRP is down about 15% from its high on Thursday, but remains well above pre-judgment levels. Solana is also down about 10% from its high on Friday, while Stellar Lumens is down about 25%, but both remain at their highs over the past week.
