US asset management giant BlackRock will soon apply for a Bitcoin ETF. CoinDesk reported, citing sources.
Although not confirmed, BlackRock will use Coinbase Custody as a custodian for its ETFs, as well as Bitcoin spot price data from the Coinbase exchange. Last year, BlackRock announced a partnership with Coinbase to provide institutional investors with Bitcoin (BTC) trading, custody, and various market data.
BlackRock has also launched several blockchain-related ETFs and bitcoin private mutual funds.
