The largest NFT company is entering Bitcoin NFTs with a new collection.
Yuga Labs said on February 27 that it plans to launch its NFT collection on the Ordinals protocol, which is based on the Bitcoin blockchain. Ordinals has grown in popularity since its launch last month.
The “TwelveFold” collection is a 12×12 grid-based generative art NFT that “visually symbolizes data on the Bitcoin blockchain.”
Some experts believe that Bitcoin NFTs contributed to the recent rise in Bitcoin price. Ordinal Punks, one of the major collections of the Ordinals protocol, traded at 9.5 Bitcoins, approximately $214,000.
Yugalabo plans to start auctioning TwelveFold this weekend. Ethereum-savvy users are encouraged to open a Bitcoin wallet first.
