Crypto exchange Bybit has announced that interest in its digital assets trading competition has attracted some of the world’s leading traders.
The World Series of Trading (WSOT), which opens registration on May 26, 2022, will see players race-trade their way to a share of the $8 million prize pool.
Per the exchange, the trailblazing tournament offers winners in the various categories a chance to scoop up some of the 8 million USDT and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) available.
In this year’s WSOT event, some of the world’s top crypto traders will compete against champion gaming athletes drawn from across the world’s leading esports organizations. The event will be divided into three tracks- a Solo Race, Squad Race and a Speed Zone Loot.
Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit commented that this year’s WOST tournament “is all about racing to the next level.” He added:
We want to encourage gamers, traders, and teams to join us in a spirit of competition and distinguish themselves at the world’s greatest crypto trading tournament. We also want to use this opportunity to amplify the positive impact of crypto: improving financial literacy and financial inclusion, and putting wealth back in the hands of the common people.”
The public will have a chance to register for WSOT 2022 on 10 June, with applications accessible in all countries and jurisdictions in which Bybit is available. Thereafter, the trading contest will run from 27 June to 17 July 2022.
As part of its goals to support the empowerment of girls through education, Bybit will donate $400,000 worth of Bitcoin to the global children’s fund UNICEF.
