CME Group and CF Benchmarks have revealed their plans to launch two new reference rates for bitcoin and ether specifically for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate APAC and CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate APAC will provide a daily reference rate for the USD price of the two digital currencies, published at 4 p.m. Hong Kong/Singapore time. The launch is set to occur on September 11 and will highlight the rising interest in cryptocurrencies in the region.
