With the latest offering, Coinbase claims to allow easy integration of Avalanche-based dApps with Coinbase wallets. Its wallet ‘Coinbase Wallet SDK’ will allow users to easily access the Avalanche ecosystem, offering support for Avalanche’s Fuji testnet and C-Chain, as well as EVM-compatible subnets to allow for seamless operation.
Coinbase Wallet is a multi-chain wallet that supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), BNB chains, Avalanche (AVAX), and polygons (MATIC). Last week, the wallet also added support for the Solana ecosystem, making it possible to deposit, withdraw and manage Solana (SOL) and Solana-based SPL tokens.
In addition to wallet integration, Coinbase Cloud has also set up a validator node to allow developers to stake and delegate Avalanche’s native token AVAX. Delegators who would want to participate in staking are required to contribute at least 25 AVAX tokens to become eligible for staking. Developers can also run their own dedicated validators using the cloud’s ‘Participate product.’
Jay Kurahashi-Sofue, VP of Marketing at Ava Labs, said in the announcement:
“The Coinbase Cloud team offers the technical expertise, security best practices, and deep understanding of protocols that will make them one of the important contributors to Avalanche. We are excited for what’s to come and to build the Web3 future with Coinbase Cloud.”
