Coinbase newly lists Jito’s governance token “JTO” on the first day of airdrop

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced plans to newly list Solana (SOL)’s major staking pool Jito’s governance token “JTO”. JTO is not yet in circulation.

Coinbase will add support for Jito (JTO) on the Solana network (SPL token). Do not send this asset over other networks or your funds may be lost. Transfers for this asset are available on @Coinbase & @CoinbaseExch in the regions where trading is supported.

This new listing will coincide with JTO’s free distribution tonight, and will begin trading on Coinbase from 11:00 ET on the 7th.

Also, from the first day of the airdrop, JTO will be handled by Solana’s major DEX aggregator Jupiter.

Jito has announced that you can claim the free distribution (airdrop) of JTO from 11:00 ET on the 7th (21:00 on the 7th Japan time).

The airdrop claim window will open on December 7th, 2023 at 11am ET (Token Generation Date).

Eligible airdrop recipients will have 18 months from the date of token generation to claim their JTO tokens.

Jito announced its release plans for JTO last week. It will be calculated and distributed based on the point system “Jito Points” that was announced in September of this year.
