Coinsquare and WonderFi Negotiate Merger to Become Canada’s Largest Cryptocurrency Exchange

Two major Canadian cryptocurrency exchanges, Coinsquare and WonderFi, appear to be in talks to merge. BNN Bloomberg reported.

The merger would reportedly make it Canada’s largest operator, with 1.15 million customers. It’s unclear if the deal will be finalized, but an announcement could be made in the coming days.

WonderFi’s stock price soared by about 30% following the news. He confirmed that he had “preliminary talks” with Coinsquare after the Canadian stock market closed. Note that Coinsquare is a privately held company.
