Focus on Korean market
The price of ASTR, the native token of the Japanese public blockchain Astar Network, soared on the 18th.
The price rose when Upbit, South Korea’s largest crypto asset (virtual currency) exchange, announced that it would list the Korean won and ASTR pair. According to CoinGecko data, the price at one point nearly doubled from 10.71 yen to 20.27 yen. At the time of writing this article, the price was in the 14 yen range, an increase of over 26% from the previous day.

Sota Watanabe, founder of Aster Network, made the following comment to the virtual currency media “The Block.”
We have spent several months in Korea, hiring new members and actively interacting with Korean projects.
Aster Network will create real-life use cases in Korea as well as in Japan.
Mr. Watanabe said that from now on, the company will focus more on the Korean market as there is much to learn from Japan and Korea.

In South Korea, ASTR was listed on bithumb in September of this year. At that time, Mr. Watanabe explained that the company would seriously expand its business in South Korea.

Aster Network has received investment from Coinbase, Binance, and others, and is attracting a lot of attention worldwide.
