Dolce & Gabbana partners with UNXD to establish ‘DGFamily’ NFT community

After selling its NFT collection for a record $6 million, Italian luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana has taken a step further in the NFT and metaverse space with the establishment of the DGFamily NFT community.

The renowned luxury brand has partnered with NFT marketplace UNXD to launch the exclusive community. “Collectors will be able to join the iconic Italian brand as they take members on a journey to experience fashion in the metaverse and beyond,” the official website read.

This is not the first time Dolce & Gabbana has partnered with the emerging marketplace. It previously auctioned a nine-piece collection of fashion-related NFTs, along with some physical items, in collaboration with UNXD. The auction sale bagged $6 million for the luxury brand.

With the latest initiative, D&G now plans to offer exclusive access to Dolce&Gabbana’s ecosystem of digital, physical, and experiential benefits. It will also offer a series of unique drops featuring both digital and physical wearables to its DGFamily members.

To become a DGFamily member, Dolce & Gabbana requires users to purchase NFT collectibles called ‘DGFamily Boxes’ that “serve as tiered membership to the exclusive Dolce&Gabbana universe,” according to the website.

NFT collectibles are divided into three categories: The Black Box, The Gold Box, and The Platinum Box. The Platinum Box can only be purchased via special access. It includes all the benefits of the remaining NFT boxes, as well as access to extremely rare drops and IRL experiences, including an intimate Dolce&Gabbana offsite.

The price of each NFT was not disclosed at the time of writing. Per the FAQ, the NFTs will be minted on the Ethereum blockchain, and later transferred to owners’ wallets on UNXD’s platform.
