Companies Zebedee and Viker have joined forces to launch three classic games with a crypto twist. Namely, while playing Solitaire, Sudoku, and Missing Letters (a game similar to Wordle), players can now earn Bitcoin.
Zebedee is a startup aimed at integrating Bitcoin into video games. Just recently, it secured $35 million in Series B funding, with the investors including Square Enix, the creators of the Final Fantasy series.
Viker is a popular mobile game developer. According to its representative, Viker’s games have some 500,00 monthly players and the largest offering of P2E (play-to-earn) games.
Players who’d like to earn Bitcoin while playing these classic games will need to obtain Zebedee’s gaming wallet. Their wallet is using Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, which is a layer-2 scaling solution designed to reduce Bitcoin transaction times and cost. Zebedee is also working with a crypto payments company MoonPay, in order to make the Lightning Network transactions more simplified.
