Twitter’s “new CEO has been found,” Elon Musk tweeted on May 11.

Musk declined to name his successor, but said she would start operations in about six weeks. Musk will serve as chairman and chief technology officer.

Twitter is not a crypto company, but much of the industry’s information and discussion takes place on Twitter (known as “crypt Twitter”), and Musk’s decision has caught the attention of crypto investors.

Twitter has also hinted at its potential entry into crypto. In April, Twitter temporarily changed its logo to a dog mascot for Musk-backed memecoin Dogecoin (DOGE). Additionally, the Financial Times reported earlier this year that Twitter was building a crypto-friendly payment platform.
