The floor price of the popular NFT collection “Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)” is 55.59 Ethereum (ETH), the lowest in five months, according to Cryptowatch data.
The drop came after anonymous BAYC holder “franklinisbored” tweeted that he had sold most of his collection. According to on-chain data, franklinisbored sold at least 27 BAYCs in 12 hours for 1439.5828 ETH (about $2.8 million).
franklinisbored said the sale was due to “an unfortunate real-world problem.”
Gm. Due to an unfortunate IRL issue, I have had to sell off a lot of BAYC apes to pay off BendDAO loans while the liquidity was available. I won’t get involved in NFT trading/twitter for a while, and will just focus on my private life for the time being with my remaining apes.

“Due to an unfortunate real world issue, I had to sell a number of BAYCs to pay off the BendDAO loan while liquidity was available. For the time being, I will concentrate on my private life with the remaining Ape.”
In a separate tweet, he detailed how he fell victim to a ragpull with an investment of around 2,000 ETH, and said, “Let us learn as much as possible from this.”
