Gaming and film studio Fruition Production has confirmed an upcoming documentary about Ripple’s XRP, scheduled for a November 2024 release.
The production firm is “getting into some serious research” and promised a trailer two weeks before official release.
Fruition Production confirmed that it will pursue self-distribution as Hollywood struggles.
Hollywood in general is in freefall so there is less appetite more than ever for new content that isn’t from established providers, this means just like we’ve done the whole time we have to remain self-financed and produce the project without their assistance.
The studio will initially release the documentary on top platforms like Apple TV and Amazon before launching in multiple avenues for the audience to watch on their favourite sites.
Commenting on the documentary’s availability on Netflix, Fruit Production confirmed that working with the streaming site would demand many intermediaries who would hurt the project.
Ripple’s team on screen?
Notably, Ripple’s executive team will not feature in the upcoming documentary. That could be because the new film will touch on sensitive topics, possibly including SEC’s effect on XRP’s suppressed growth.
However, the documentary could feature an interview with Ripple’s chief technological officer David Schwartz.
Brad and his executive team are not willing to appear although we did interview David. When you see the scope of what we’re covering, I actually don’t blame them at all. Resistance in the form of requiring lots of story compromises, and then arbitrary celebrity.
Meanwhile, Fruition Production’s self-distribution means avoiding traditional media when airing the documentary. That will likely preserve the documentary’s originality.
Understanding XRP in its details
The upcoming documentary will likely cover XRP’s journey since its inception, highlighting everything about the project’s position in the financial space.
Anyone interested in XRP’s history, current state, and future performance can watch the production.
Enthusiasts will likely watch how the film will cover crypto regulation topics, as these events have hindered XRP’s growth over the past years.
The upcoming Ripple documentary could alleviate XRP’s appeal in the crypto world.
That will likely attract the masses, translating to robust growth for the global remittance project.
Current XRP price action
The altcoin traded at $0.5981 at press time, following a 0.61% decline over the past 24 hours.
The 40% decline in 24-hour trading volume confirms weakness after last week’s upswings. Thus, XRP could retrace further before recovering.
Meanwhile, analyst EGRAG Crypto remains confident about XRP recoveries as the alt holds the $0.55- $0.60 mark.
He expects a near-term surge to $1.2 – $1.5 before a post-retest rally that could propel Ripple’s native coin toward $6.4.
