Collect Trump Cards Series 2

Former President Trump released the second digital trading card “Collect Trump Cards” on the 19th. 47,000 new copies were made and sold for $99, but sold out within hours. Sales are said to have reached approximately 616 million yen ($4.6 million). In addition, 1000 sheets are left at hand of the developer.

The price of the first series has fallen by 50%, probably due to the fact that the distribution volume has doubled. According to CoinGecko, the floor price (minimum purchase price) has risen 61.6% over the past 24 hours and is currently at $333 (about 44,625 yen) (at the time of writing).

Former President Trump’s NFT collection depicts Trump’s life and career as “digital trading cards.” The first batch was issued with 45,000 copies and sold for $99 (about 13,000 yen). This was also sold out in a few hours after its release on December 15th.

Collect Trump Cards has become a hot topic, as Trump’s social media ban (Twitter: November 2022, YouTube: March 23) was lifted, and he was indicted on 34 charges in April 2011. In response to this, the price of NFT was rising. However, the price has plummeted due to the release of the second volume this time.

adopt polygon

Polygon (MATIC) is used for the blockchain that is the basis for issuing NFTs in both the first and second bullets. Credit cards and crypto assets (virtual currency) are used as payment methods.

NFT purchasers with a certain amount or more are given the privilege of applying for the right to enjoy golf and dinner with Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump has indicated his intention to run for the 2024 presidential election in November 2022, but has declared that he will not use NFT sales proceeds for political activities.

It is speculated that the 47,000 issued number of the second NFT comes from the series of policy video messages “Agenda 47” announced by Mr. Trump in 2023. Agenda 47 is seen as the political agenda for Trump’s 2024 presidential run.

What is Polygon

Polygon is a project that provides a development framework to tackle the scalability problem of Ethereum. It used to be called “MATIC”, but was rebranded to “Polygon” with the meaning of changing to a comprehensive platform for building blockchains.
