Per the details revealed, FTX will give away free Bitcoins to those who accurately guess the time at which its Super Bowl ad will run. In addition, the number of Bitcoins distributed as rewards will depend on the time slot as well.
For instance, if the ad airs at 10:05 AM ET, FTX will give away 10.5 Bitcoins to four people that accurately guess the time slot. The amount will be distributed evenly amongst the first four participants that determined the exact time. The only details that the crypto exchange revealed was that the ad is scheduled to run during the second half of the game, i.e., after 8 PM ET.
Winners will be required to sign up for the FTX accounts to claim their prize money and interested participants are required to retweet the pinned Twitter post between the time it airs and 11:59 p.m. ET. However, partakers are not obligated to open an account to enter the contest.
FTX is one of the several crypto exchanges to advertise its platform through multiple sports deals and sponsorship agreements. The exchange partnered with athletes Tom Brady, Stephen Curry, Shohei Ohtani, and others as part of its global marketing campaign.
Apart from FTX, cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com has also bought an ad slot at the Super Bowl championship game.
