Following its consecutive successful strategic partnerships with sports associations and athletics, FTX is now tapping into the $300 billion luxury goods market. The popular crypto exchange has now appointed beauty and fashion entrepreneur Lauren Remington Platt to lead its global luxury partnerships division.

Platt is the founder and former CEO of fashion startup Vensette with a background in modeling. She has worked with major brands within the industry, including Saks 5th Avenue, Vogue, Michael Kors, and Chopard.
As the head of global luxury partnerships, Platt will continue to pursue popular luxury brands, that are yet to enter the cryptocurrency market, into partnering with the crypto exchange.
“We are thrilled to have Lauren join FTX and lead our next marketing foray into luxury partnerships. Her wealth of experience in the fashion and luxury space will be essential for the next phase of growth of our team’s partnership and branding focus,” said Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, in the announcement.
Before this, FTX has largely driven its marketing strategy towards sports sponsorship agreements, including acquiring the rights of two US Stadiums and onboarding popular athletes as its brand ambassadors. Most recently, the crypto exchange bought an ad space at the Super Bowl championship game, a deal worth millions of dollars.
Now moving beyond sports partnerships, it is expected that FTX will expand its branding strategy into the luxury market with the same vigor.
