8th GM Radio held
CoinPost Global, a newly established global version of CoinPost, delivered the 7th “GM Radio” on the 20th, inviting Mr. Igneus Terrenus, head of the communication and business development department of Mantle Network, as a guest to talk about “Modular type operated by BitDAO We conducted an interview on the subject of “New Ethereum L2 Network”.
A total of about 300 people watched in real time at the time of distribution. You can listen to the archive via the link in the tweet below.
Next week’s first #GMRadio will feature Mantle Network (@0xMantle), a modular layer-2 being developed by BitDAO and others!
Our guest will be @IgneusTerrenus.

Guest introduction
The 8th GM Radio will be streamed on Friday, February 24th at 12:30 on the CP_Global Twitter space. This time we invite Neel Somani, founder of Eclipse Laboratories, as our guest.
The company will be founded in San Francisco, USA in 2022. In order to solve the problem of blockchain scalability, we are developing a platform called “Eclipse” that utilizes rollup technology.

In September of last year, it announced that it had raised $9 million (1.3 billion yen at the rate at the time) in a seed round. Venture capital (VC) Tribe Capital and Tabiya (a former Binance executive VC) led the funding, along with Infinity Ventures Crypto, Soma Capital, Struck Crypto, CoinList and Solana (SOL) founder Anatoly Yakovenko. invested.

Features of Eclipse
Eclipse points out that the problem with blockchain is that many existing blockchains are “monolithic”. The English word “monolithic” has the meaning of “made of a monolith” or “single.” “Monolithic” in the blockchain domain refers to “a state in which one network performs multiple roles”.
On the other hand, in order to solve this problem, the development of the second layer (Layer 2) network has already been promoted. Especially in Ethereum (ETH), a mechanism is being created to process transactions off-chain by utilizing the Layer 2 network.
However, Eclipse still points out that the division of labor is not enough to keep many applications running. We are developing a “modular type” mechanism that separates transaction execution, execution result verification, data storage and consensus building so that even if the number of users increases, it can be operated without problems.
The image above is from the Eclipse official website. Individual apps on top perform transactions, and an Eclipse layer in the middle validates those performed transactions for correctness.
Each application can freely select the virtual machine to use and the blockchain to use for data storage and consensus building. Eclipse currently supports Solana (SOL) and Ethereum virtual machines. In the future, we will support other virtual machines according to the requests of dApps (distributed applications).
In addition, rollup currently supports Optimistic Rollup. In the future, we will also support zkRollup in parallel. According to the official website, Eclipse is “not an Ethereum or Solana rollup, but a rollup that can be deployed on all blockchains.”
In this interview, we asked about the features of Eclipse, risk countermeasures, future plans, etc., with the theme of “building an original rollup”. There will also be an announcement from Eclipse to coincide with the GM Radio broadcast.
Limited NFT distribution to viewers
We will distribute “NFT” limited to participants to everyone who watched GM Radio’s live streaming on the official Twitter Spaces. Please refer to the following for how to receive it.
In the future, we are planning campaigns only for those who have collected multiple limited NFTs. It will be distributed free of charge to all participants, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Please take this opportunity.
Please follow the official account of the Global version so that you do not miss the announcement of the live broadcast.
