Canadian singer and songwriter Grimes unveiled a never-before-seen ‘intergalactic children’s metaverse book’ at the Avalanche Summit in Barcelona last Friday. According to Grimes’ announcement, the project is part of the $100 million creator fund founded by the Avalanche Foundation and Op3n.
“When I first got into Web 3, this was the kind of project I was hoping to see. I’m very excited to be partnering with [OP3N] to launch a series of educational art for babies and small children with the goal of creating a profound experience for babies that is also deeply meaningful to adults,” said Grimes announcing the project via video link.

Grimes previously participated in the web3 ecosystem in June last year after launching her own NFT collection “WarNympth”. The series featured 10 NFTs which generated nearly $6 million in sales just 20 minutes after launching.
The $100 million creator fund, called “Culture Catalyst” was launched by the Avalanche Foundation and web3 social media platform Op3n as the network seeks to onboard more creators and developers to develop web3 projects. Op3n is a decentralized social networking platform that is collaborating with musician Ava Max on her forthcoming music video.
The ongoing Avalanche blockchain summit has gained traction far and wide, with more than 3,500 attending the conference in Barcelona, Spain. The number of participants is significantly higher than last year’s attendees’ count, which totaled 500 at the time.
