Happy Birthday, Satoshi! Happy 48th Birthday | coindesk JAPAN

Happy Birthday, Satoshi! Today (April 5, US time) is the birthday of Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.

We don’t know Satoshi’s true identity, and we never will. But the anonymous founder seems to have a birthday.

Satoshi entered his date of birth when registering his name with the P2P Foundation. According to the registry, Satoshi’s birthday is April 5, 1975. The P2P Foundation lists Satoshi’s age as 38 on 4 April 2014 and 40 on 5 April 2015.

Of course, Bitcoin supporters have many theories as to why Satoshi chose this day, other than it being his actual birthday.

A representative theory is that President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 6102 on April 5, 1933, prohibiting private ownership of gold. Americans had their gold confiscated by the government in exchange for dollars. The following year, the Gold Reserve Act raised the price of gold from $20 to $35 per ounce. In fact, it was just a devaluation of the dollar.

Did Satoshi warn us about the failure of government-controlled money? It must be!

Is Satoshi’s true identity Hal Finney? Nick Sabo? Adam Buck? Ren Sasaman? John Nash? Or are they all? Or none of those, other cypherpunk freewheeling groups?

No one knows, and it doesn’t matter. On this special birthday, I would like to bring up yet another thing about Satoshi.

After all, Bitcoin is an open-source protocol and is founder agnostic. The fact that Satoshi left Bitcoin in 2011 when it was still in its infancy and has since grown into a $500 billion global money system begs two thoughts.

1) Satoshi was the founder who knew where Bitcoin was going, but only if the protocol was leaderless.

2) Bitcoin’s success is basically a small miracle.

No one knows what made Satoshi leave Bitcoin, but Bitcoin probably wouldn’t have been as successful otherwise.

If we knew Satoshi’s true identity and looked to him/them for guidance, would Bitcoin have become so important? Did Satoshi approve of Taproot? Did you recognize the Bitcoin NFT by Ordinal?

You may or may not admit it.

The important thing is that it doesn’t matter, Bitcoin is now for everyone. there is no leader.

So it can get messy, but at least that’s everyone’s problem. Even if Satoshi’s identity were revealed and many people went wild, he would not be given full ownership of the project. Even if it were to happen, there would be many who would oppose it.

The rule of Bitcoin is that no one sets the rules.

happy birthday satoshi I don’t know where you are we love you But I’m not lonely
