HashPort sponsors digital wallets at the Osaka/Kansai Expo | CoinDesk JAPAN | Coin Desk Japan

HashPort announced on July 18 that it will sponsor the “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” provided at the 2025 Japan International Exposition (Osaka, Kansai Expo).

It is reported that the Osaka/Kansai Expo will be completely cashless, and the EXPO 2025 digital wallet will be a unique wallet service for the Osaka/Kansai Expo, where it will be possible to use “original electronic money”, “original points”, and more. Provide perks that are granted depending on the situation (such as unique NFTs). It will also serve as a foundation for collaborating with pavilions and external businesses.

According to the release, HashPort offers the following ranges:

• EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet: A mobile app that serves as a gateway for financial services such as e-money, points, status services, and NFTs unique to Osaka/Kansai Expo provided by other sponsoring financial institutions.
• Wallet ID platform: An ID platform that enables registration and login to each financial service unique to Expo 2005 Osaka, Kansai, and affiliated services with a single ID.
• Soul Bound Token (SBT) Digital Passport: A foundation for collaboration between pavilions and momentum-building partners and EXPO 2025 digital wallets utilizing SBT
• Wallet for Web3: A wallet for storing NFTs issued in collaboration with SBT, pavilions, and external companies

According to the Nikkei Shimbun, the Osaka-Kansai Expo is expected to attract about 28 million visitors, including 3.5 million from overseas, and generate an economic effect of about 2 trillion yen.
