Helium, a wireless network powered by crypto, might be migrating to the Solana blockchain, its devs announced. Following the news, Helium’s HNT crypto is down 15% and is currently trading at $4.88, according to CoinGecko.
Helium helps to run wireless protocols with the assistance of many users on the network. Its original network has almost 950,000 active users, who are currently running a mining device or node.
However, due to Solana’s known stability problems, Helium users are not satisfied with the proposed migration. Especially as stability is key to operating a wireless network. HNT token owners will be able to vote on the proposal on September 12.
In recent times, Helium faced other difficulties, as well. The companies Salesforce and Lime, which Helium announced as business partners, claimed that they’re not officially affiliated with the wireless network company.
