The Twitter-Musk legal battle is intensifying.

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has now cited the whistleblower Peiter Zatkos’ claims about the bot data not being revealed to terminate the $44 billion takeover deal with the social media giant, Twitter.

In retaliation, Twitter is claiming that data scientists under Musk have not been able to support the bot allegation by their boss. Musk had initially contended that Twitter had submitted the wrong bot data, and the number of fake accounts was much higher than the data provided by the company.

This development has come to light before the trial begins in October. Charles Gasparino, a journalist at Fox, reported that there are high chances of the Chancery court ruling in favor of Twitter.

He stated that the claims by the whistleblower on the bots were unconvincing for Arbs, and there are low chances of Musk winning the lawsuit.

Twitter Accuses Musk’s Team Of Misconduct

According to reports, the lawyers representing Twitter told a Delaware Court that the documents received by them during discovery show that Musk hired two different consultants. Cyabra and CounterAction provided an estimation of spam accounts on Twitter.

The report by Cyabra mentioned that there are 11% spam accounts, whereas CounterAction stated that there are 5% spam accounts on Twitter. It is contended that these reports were handed over to Musk a day before he terminated the deal. However, Twitter has criticized the methodologies used by the consultants.

Twitter has requested the court to urge Musk to provide more details of the reports by data scientists for more clarity on the matter. Lawyers claim that Musk’s team has been delaying and obstructing the proceedings during the past two months; Musk’s lawyers deny these clams.

Twitter has requested the court to issue sanctions against Musk for his misconduct and failure to produce signal messages.
