The Hong Kong Securities Commission has warned companies operating in the cryptocurrency exchange market, to prohibit derivatives and earnings services related to cryptocurrency within the country. The commission has also urged unlicensed trading platforms to cease operations, warning that continued activity will be considered a criminal offense. These measures aim to regulate the cryptocurrency market and prevent fraudulent activities in Hong Kong’s financial needs. Companies violating the regulations may not be granted licenses during the transition period.
