What is Goshen
Ontology, a developer of decentralized identity (DID) solutions and data-focused open source platforms, today announced a reward campaign for early adopters of its Layer 2 solution “Goshen Network”. The Goshen Network was developed through an incubation program conducted by Ontology.
Goshen Network is a trustless L2 solution fully compatible with Ethereum. It adopts Optimistic rollups to improve transaction processing performance at lower gas costs while maintaining the decentralization and security of the main chain Ethereum (ETH).
Optimistic Rollups
A type of scaling technology “rollup” that aims to relieve congestion in the L1 network by processing a part of the transaction at the L2. Optimistic Rollups operate on the optimistic premise that every transaction batch sent on-chain is considered valid. The remediation mechanism works only if a fraudulent transaction (fraudulent proof) is discovered.
Cryptocurrency Glossary
A characteristic of Goshen is that it adopts a layered architecture with the aim of realizing simplicity and versatility of the entire protocol.
At the bottom layer is a RISC-V-based general-purpose computing environment that migrates L1 (Layer 1) computations off-chain (outside the blockchain) in a reliable manner. This reduces on-chain cost and complexity and improves scalability.
At the next layer, L2 (Layer 2) implements L1 state transition logic, ensuring full compatibility with the L1 ecosystem. This enables smooth data and asset movement between L1 and L2.
In addition, the on-chain challenge (submission of fraudulent proof) uses the “Collaborative Interactive Challenge protocol”. The mechanism of sharing rewards for contributors increases the robustness of the protocol.
With such architecture, Goshen Network provides an efficient and flexible blockchain solution.
RISC-V
The instruction set architecture (ISA) of processors built into computers and devices. It is open source and allows you to define and customize the set of instructions and operations that your processor executes.

Partial introduction of Goshen participating projects
Goshen Network has now released a testnet and hopes that many Web3 (decentralized web) people will experience its unique features, including the RISC-V instruction set. In collaboration with the Goshen team, more than 10 partners are already planning to officially deploy. The main projects are as follows.
- Multichain: a cross-chain bridge aggregator
- OpenOcean: Cross-Chain DEX Aggregator
- Celer: cross-chain network
- Wing: Cross-chain lending protocol
- izumi: cross-chain liquidity provision protocol
- Ivy Market: Cross-chain NFT market, etc.
“Top Goshen Gear” Campaign
Goshen will hold a rewards campaign “Top Goshen Gear” to attract additional projects such as DeFi (Decentralized Finance) and DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), as well as the community.
The Top Goshen Gear campaign is an incentive program that rewards those who join early and help build early. People who start building dApps or running DAOs on the Goshen testnet will be recognized as “Top Goshen Gears (TGG)” and earn rewards.
Being a TGG also allows you to join a community of experts on the Goshen ecosystem.
Top Goshen Gear also targets TGG media and communities to help distribute the latest information on the network.
Users who meet these requirements will have the right to acquire “Genesis TGG NFT” issued on the Goshen Network. Also, for a certain period of time, you can receive the transaction fees of the Goshen Network as income.
way to participate
The TGG campaign has already started and will continue until Goshen’s mainnet launch. Since the communities participating in the campaign will be announced on the official Twitter as needed, some people expect that the ecosystem will expand over time.
Here’s how to participate in the Top Goshen Gear campaign.
1. Access the Discord server of Goshen Network
2. Participate in discussions on the “#collaborations” channel and directly contact Goshen team members about what you want to do.
