LaMelo Ball partners with Chainlink to launch second NFT collection

LaMelo Ball’s first four NFTs—Red Mars, Blue Neptune, Silver Moon, and Gold Evolve—were a very exciting experience for sports fans. He has partnered with Chainlink (LINK/USD) Data Feeds again to launch his second round of dNFT collectibles with dynamically upgrading stats.  

From common to rare

The four NFTs being released are Rebounds, Blocks, Rising Stars, and All-Star Debut.

Rebounds

These dynamic NFTs, 1,250 in total, track LaMelo Ball’s rebounds with the potential for redeemable rewards.

Blocks

Blocks also number 1,250 and track LaMelo Ball’s blocks. Redeemable rewards are also possible.

2022 Rising Stars

This is a rare NFT that tracks LaMelo’s full stat-line for his Rising Stars game on February 18.

2022 All-Star Debut

Another rare NFT, this one tracking LaMelo’s full stat-line from his very first All-Star game on February 20. There are 500 of these and the previous ones.  

Real time upgrade with Chainlink

All game stats will be upgraded in real time through Chainlink Sports Data Feeds. Users can view them on the NFT interface. Based on LaMelo’s performance, NFT owners could receive redeemable traits corresponding to a wide variety of real world and digital items.

Minting and distribution

A blind mint with 3,500 total NFTs distributed in the four tiers will take place. The community mint will start on February 18, the same day that LaMelo will play in the Rising Stars game, which marks the beginning of the All-Star weekend. Each NFT will cost .22 ether (ETH/USD).

Fair and transparent reveal

Anyone can buy blind NFTs during the public sale between February 21 and February 28 and then wait for the trait reveal. On March 2, they will see which of the four NFT collectibles they have received.

Chainlink VRF will ensure randomness of NFT distribution to conduct the process as fairly and transparently as possible. No entity can manipulate the outcome. Chainlink VRF allows any user to see the RNG used to distribute the NFTs was completely random.
