LaProp, a tokenized real estate platform targeting Latin America, has integrated Chainlink Keepers (LINK/USD) on the BNB Chain Mainnet, Invezz learned from a press release. LaProp is using Chainlink Keepers to automate rental payouts to token holders with high security and cost-efficiency.
Chainlink secures billions in DeFi
Chainlink’s provably reliable node operators help secure tens of billions of dollars in DeFi, even during periods of extreme volatility and network congestion. Chainlink guarantees timely execution of rent payout in a trust-minimized manner, which will function exactly as intended.
Making real estate accessible
Real estate’s lack of liquidity and high capital requirements have rendered it inaccessible to many investors. LaProp is changing this by tokenizing real estate investments.
How it works: details
You look for a property to invest in on LaProp’s real estate platform. You can see not only pictures, but also financial documentation, information about the neighborhood and city, and even the exact address. Then, you buy a token that gives you the rights to a fractionalized share of the rent of that property.
Rent is paid weekly or monthly depending on the property. Chainlink Keepers will enable LaProp to automate rental distributions in a secure, cost-efficient, and highly reliable way.
Most notable features of Chainlink Keepers
Increased Efficiency — Projects that use Chainlink Keepers are able to reduce time spent on DevOps, minimize operational overhead, and streamline development workflows.
Reduced Costs — Chainlink Keepers perform efficient off-chain computation for smart contracts, allowing developers to build feature-rich dApps at lower costs.
Decentralized Execution — Chainlink Keepers provide reliable, trust-minimized automation with no single point of failure, mitigating risks around manual processes and centralized servers.
Enhanced Security — Chainlink Keepers sign on-chain transactions themselves, enabling automated smart contract execution without exposing private keys.
LaProp is working on developing multichain infrastructure and will launch a real estate data service that incorporates Chainlink Price Feeds.
Alejandro Jaramillo, CEO of LaProp, commented:
With the help of Chainlink trust-minimized services, we’re excited to democratize the property asset class by making it accessible to investors who were previously kept out of the market due to high capital requirements. We selected Chainlink Keepers to help automate our rental payout feature because they’re the most reliable, robust, and decentralized automation solution available.
