Voyager’s Committee of unsecured creditors has been billed $5.1 Million by the law firm McDermott Will and Emery for work completed between March and May. The latest bill brings the total payment for compensation to $16.4 million, which exceeds the $11.2 million budgeted for the restructuring initiative. Critics claim that increasing legal fees, which have profited legal firms during the 2022 market downturn, will reduce the amount of money available to unsecured creditors. Firms like FTX and Celsius have invested more than $200 million and $50 million, respectively, on legal fees.
