Aiming to expand the ecosystem

The open source Web3 platform “Lisk” announced on the 3rd that it will launch a new accelerator program to expand its ecosystem. The target of the program is a project to build a Web3 application using Lisk’s SDK (software development kit).

The program aims to attract experienced developers and entrepreneurs to the Lisk ecosystem and help them build their ideas and concepts. Above all, we would like to focus on cultivating projects that work on blockchain solutions that specialize in apps.

Max Kordek, CEO of Lisk, said: “Web3 apps are enabling trustless relationships with each other across many industries, from finance to healthcare to supply chain management, and by eliminating middlemen, reducing costs and reducing costs. Efficiency can be achieved,” he said, adding:

We believe that we can create a completely new business model. The Lisk Accelerator is a way to find and support such projects.

Program overview

The Lisk Accelerator Program is intended for start-ups with Web3 development over several years, with the first period from March 20th to June 30th and the second period from September 1st to November 30th. Applications will be accepted twice.

The program provides the mentorship, technical support and expertise, and funding teams of developers need to bring their ideas to life. Funding for the project will be divided into four stages:

  • Bootstrap (launch) grant: Approximately 580,000 yen (4,000 SF) will be provided to startups that have not developed a proof of concept (POC) using the Lisk SDK. It is now possible to meet the criteria for applying to the Accelerator Program.
  • Builder Grants: Access to our Knowledge Base, Founder Network and Tokenomics Experts along with support from the Lisk ecosystem team for building Web3 apps. About 9.4 million yen (65,000 SF) is provided.
  • Booster subsidy: Approximately 12.3 million yen (85,000 SF) will be provided after the testnet is successful. UX/UI support, how to pitch investors, access to one-on-one coaching
  • Breakout grant: Approximately 14.5 million yen (100,000 SF) when the app is sold, the product and market fit are demonstrated, and the company is ready to scale.

Since the accelerator program aims to build an ecosystem, Lisk will not claim any ownership or equity in any project that successfully enters the market.

About Lisk

Lisk is an open source Web3 application platform designed for interoperability with sidechains. It is run by the Lisk Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Zug, Switzerland.

Launched in 2016, Lisk uses JavaScript as its programming language. The Lisk Soft Development Kit (SDK) is designed to allow developers to build their own sidechains compatible with Lisk, allowing developers to use JavaScript to build their own app-specific blockchains. It is possible.

side chain

A blockchain that has an auxiliary role, devised to solve the problems of the main chain, such as processing delays. Sidechains, which are expected to improve processing speed, will play an important role in the evolution of crypto assets (virtual currencies) to become more practical and multi-functional, and solve the scalability problem (processing delays such as transaction jams) of Bitcoin, etc. It is used for the purpose of
