Matter Labs, the company behind zkSync, has disowned allegations from Polygon that it duplicated some of the latter’s open-source code without proper attribution. Polygon charged Matter Labs’s recent release, Boojum, with incorporating code from the open-source Plonky2 zero-knowledge technology without proper credit. Alex Gluchowski, co-founder and chief executive of Matter Labs, refuted the claims, stating that the team gave proper credit to Polygon in the first line of the Boojum module. Gluchowski added that only 5% of the Boojum code is based on the code of Plonky2.
