Merit Circle DAO announces game chain “Beam” at Avalanche

Merit Circle DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization focused on the gaming industry, today announced the construction of its own gaming-focused blockchain, Beam, using the Avalanche (AVAX) subnet.

Beam aims to make it easier for game developers to deploy games on-chain. In addition to providing quick settlement with low fees, it will also contribute to expanding the value of MC in cooperation with the ecosystem of Merit Circle DAO (MC).

Beam will be launched in the Avalanche (AVAX) subnet, allowing it to leverage existing infrastructure tools, Avalanche wallets, analytics, bridges, SDKs, APIs, and more. Merit Circle DAO says it has partnered with Avalanche’s lead developer, Ava Labs, to provide construction, business development and marketing assistance.

Merit Circle DAO’s Governance Token (MC) is used to pay for gas (transaction fee) on Beam and reward validators. As such, the release of Beam is expected to bring prosperity to the entire MC ecosystem.

Beam also adopts a burn mechanism according to transaction volume, which may contribute to reducing the supply and increasing the value of MC tokens.

Merit Circle claims Beam boasts a strong network of over 60 affiliated games and dozens of contributors, developers, tools and investors. As projects under construction, he listed titles such as the bike race Trial Xtreme, the open-world Walker World, and the Sci-Fi action Hash Rush.

What is a subnet

A subnet is a unique network built with Avalanche and secured by Avalanche validators as a “Blockchain as a Service (BaaS)”.

In the subnet, you can freely set your own tokens and fee structure, such as fees, so blockchain games such as “DeFi Kingdoms” and “StepApp” use their own tokens for payment of transaction fees (gas fees) and validator rewards. I have built my own subnet for the project.

“The DFK subnet supporting DeFi Kingdoms has seen 1.5 million daily transactions over the past few months, with negligible user fees,” Merrit Circle said. He cited the flexibility of defining his own rules for the token economy as a reason for choosing subnets.

Merit Circle says they can provide customized solutions to meet their needs, creating value for the entire Merit Circle ecosystem, including DAO participants and contributors.

No specific release date for Beam was mentioned, but it does indicate that more information will be revealed in the coming months.
