Lootex, an NFT marketplace specializing in the GameFi industry, has secured roughly $9 million in its latest funding round led by Spartan Capital, Infinity Ventures Crypto, LD Capital, and Akatsuki. Other participants in the round include Huobi, Polygon Studio, Avocado Guild, HTC, OKEx Blockdream Ventures, Avocado Guild, SweeperDAO, YGG SEA, and others.

Per the announcement, the company will use the funds raised to allow gamers to trade and buy items across multiple blockchains. With more than 80,000 active users, it recorded monthly sales of $2 million last November.
Lootex said it aims to become a “one-stop shop in the metaverse”, with more than 12,000 NFTs across 500 collections already trading on its platform. The marketplace also has multiple partnerships with game titles and has partnered with over 50 blockchain games, such as RPS League, Block Monster, Dungeon Swap, and Olympus Royale.
Commenting on the announcement, Justine Lu, Co-Founder and CEO of Lootex, said:
“Our mission is to liberate game asset ownership and connect blockchain games to traditional players. By providing a game-oriented NFT marketplace, players are able to trade and discover the value of their hard work and accomplishments.”
