What is a node

A computer device that participates in a blockchain network. There are multiple types of nodes on the blockchain, such as mining-oriented nodes that approve transactions, and nodes that mainly function as wallets. This includes not only personal computers but also devices such as smartphones.

The two companies will work together to provide node services for companies and organizations. The purpose of the partnership is to make this node service available on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace.

In order to provide this node service, we will utilize Ankr’s blockchain technology and Microsoft’s cloud solution. By providing a node service for enterprises, we will be able to access the blockchain globally with low latency, allowing Web3 projects and developers to focus on product development.

By using the node services provided by both companies, customers will be able to mainly:

  • You can launch enterprise-level nodes with specifications tailored to your use case
  • Easily check node performance anytime, anywhere. Access usage data on 38+ blockchains
  • Optimize data queries (processing requests) serverless on various blockchains

Rashmi Misra, general manager of Microsoft’s AI and advanced technology division, commented on the announcement as follows:

Many developers and organizations are exploring how Web3 technologies can solve real-world business challenges.

Going forward, we would like to work with Ankr to provide Web3 infrastructure to developers, whether they are dApps (decentralized apps) or established businesses.

Also, Ankr co-founder and CEO Chandler Song commented below.

This partnership is one of the highest achievements for our company. The partnership with Microsoft is an important indicator of how far the decentralized web has come in working with key players at every layer of the system.

Following this announcement, the price of the ANKR token skyrocketed. According to CoinGecko data, it is up more than 31% over a 24-hour period as of this writing.
