Ukrainian-American actress Mila Kunis has launched her new Solana-based NFT project that brings digital collectibles to animated web series.
Per the press release issued Sunday, the NFT series is a product of collaboration between Toonstar, a Web3 animation studio, and Sixth Wall, the digital arm of Mila Kunis’ Orchard Farm Productions.
The companies have described it as a “South Park meets WWE” adult, animated series which follows a group of unsuccessful wrestlers who yearn to achieve former glory. Titled ‘The Gimmicks,’ the unique animated wrestling series seeks to allow the show’s NFT holders to mould the storyline and characters over time through its “choose your own adventure” mode.

Holders of the NFTs will also be able to interact with other fans via an on-chain social layer, which will be connected to the holder’s NFT. NFTs will go live on March 18 for sale on the show’s website and will be minted on the Solana blockchain for free.
Adding more excitement for the fans, the series will feature characters played by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) stars Luke “Doc” Gallows, Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson, and Rocky Romero. The show is written by Dave Ihlenfeld and David Wright, who have worked on popular animated shows The Simpsons and Family Guy.
Mila Kunis told crypto media outlet CoinDesk in an interview:
“I see the tech and community that comes with NFTs and Web 3 allowing for the audience to directly communicate with and inform creators of what they like and what they don’t. There is space for traditional film and television development as well as this more Wild West fun chaos that comes along with developing in Web 3.”
This is Mila Kunis’ second notable venture into the NFT ecosystem. The actress has previously launched an Ethereum-based animated web series called ‘Stoner Cats’ through her production company. The show’s characters were voiced by Mila Kunis, her husband and actor Ashton Kutcher, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, and more.
