Developer and publisher of blockchain games N3twork Studios has hired former Tinder Chief Product Officer (CPO) Josh Sell as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Josh has been tasked with helping the N3twork Studios’ team to accelerate the development of its two upcoming Web3 RPGs, Legendary: Heroes Unchained and Triumph, both of which are scheduled for release later this year.
In a statement announcing the appointment of Josh Sell, Matt Ricchetti, the President of N3twork Studios, said:
“Josh is a world-class product executive who brings a ton of Web2 and Web3 gaming experience to N3twork Studios. With Josh on board, we’ll be able to take our two upcoming titles to the next level, particularly as we move into live operations on both in 2023.”
Josh has overseen the release of popular Apps
N3twork Studios seem to have taped a natural talent in Josh seeing the many many popular franchises he has spearheaded in different companies.
Throughout his time at Tinder, Josh oversaw a wealth of releases perhaps the most notable one being the ‘Explore Tab,’ which introduced a new way for singles around the world to find matches online. Josh has also held a similar role at Glu Mobile, where he spearheaded the development of the popular ‘Deer Hunter.’
He also served as General Manager and Vice President at King, where he oversaw the running of the ‘Fram Heroes’ franchise. He was also the General Manager of Mobile for NCSoft.
Lately, before being hired by N3twork Studios, Josh co-founded the innovative Web3 gaming startup Midnight and pioneered the company’s interoperability strategy.
Josh’s new roles at N3twork Studios
Besides spearheading the development of Legendary: Heroes Unchained and Triumph, Josh will also be supporting the president Matt Richetti in running the studio’s day-to-day operations.
While accepting the appointment, Josh said:
“What attracted me to N3twork Studios was a combination of talented people, awesome products, and a clear opportunity to make an impact. The folks I met with prior to joining were all intrinsically motivated by consumer experience. Their views lined up perfectly with my own around how Web3 can drive genuine and sustained player benefit. I also got my hands on the product(s) before joining and loved them; there’s a huge opportunity for success here.”
The appointment of Josh to N3twork Studios’ team underscores the studio’s status as a leading RPG studio as it looks for more success in 2023. The studio has several pedigree video games, including blockbuster mobile RPG Legendary: Game of Heroes, which has brought in about $300 million in revenue for the company.
