As part of ‘Netaverse’ entertainment services, the team plans to offer a 360 virtual reality experience by using over 100 high-resolution video cameras circling the court. The experience would allow fans to situate anywhere along the sidelines of the court, behind the nets, or even in the middle of the court and watch the game from whatever angle they choose to.

The team also plans to offer virtual merchandise, including “clothing, namely hosiery, footwear, basketball shoes, t-shirts, shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, tank tops, jerseys, shorts, pajamas, sport shirts,” and more.

Sports organization National Basketball Association is working closely with the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. In October last year, NBA signed a multi-year contract with crypto exchange Coinbase to educate basketball fans about cryptocurrency.

In December, FTX.US, a subsidiary of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, signed a partnership with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, making FTX its official crypto platform and marketplace for NFTs.
