A joint advisory report from the US, UK, and other agencies has identified the use of new Russian malware named Infamous Chisel, which specifically targets users of cryptocurrency wallets and exchange applications. The malware, linked to the Russian military intelligence agency GRU (Sandworm), is designed to allow continuous access to a compromised Android device via the Tor network, enabling it to gather and send out victim data from affected devices. The malware searches for specific application directories on a device, including those related to the crypto wallet Trust and the Binance and Coinbase apps.
