On the 23rd, “RTFKT (Artifact)”, which is a subsidiary of Nike and produces sneaker NFTs on the Metaverse (virtual space), announced that it will release “Project Animus”, a new IP (intellectual property) series, in the first quarter of 2024. This series is also expected to work with the existing NFT (non-fungible token) collection “Clone X.” Artifact said:
Project Animus introduces unique creatures with special powers and abilities that aid the clones in their adventures and even create clones of themselves.
“Clone X” is a humanoid NFT released with the intention of being used as an avatar in the Metaverse. In collaboration with contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, there are various DNA types such as humans, robots, demons, angels, zombies, and aliens.

Release of egg-shaped NFT
Project Animus egg-shaped NFTs are being airdropped (free of charge) to owners of Clone X. Additionally, egg-shaped NFTs are now on sale at OpenSea, a major NFT marketplace.
The egg-shaped NFT is expected to yield 2D and 3D versions of Project Animus characters. Artifact says it is currently experimenting with some of the project’s mechanics.
Although Project Animus’ final supply has not yet been determined, the initial supply of egg-shaped NFTs that Clone X owners can claim is capped at 20,000.
Further, detailed information about the project will be released through the official website, social media, offline events, etc. as the release date approaches.
What is NFT?
Abbreviation for “Non-Fungible Token”, a digital token that is non-fungible and has unique value. It is not only used for exchanging “digital items” in blockchain games, but also for proof of ownership of expensive works of art, and is an innovative tool for rights holders (creators) in the “secondary distribution market,” which was difficult to achieve through second-hand sales. It is also attracting attention as a means of giving back.
