Nike will soon announce its first NFT sneaker collection on the Web3 platform “.Swoosh” launched in November 2022. The virtual sneaker named “Our Force 1 (OF1)” was inspired by Nike’s representative sneaker “Air Force 1”.

Starting April 18th, we will start airdropping “posters” to select .Swoosh users, who will have access to pre-sales starting May 8th. It will be available for purchase to all .Swoosh users on May 10th.

Users can choose between two types of boxes: the “Classic Remix” box and the “New Wave” box. Each box contains a different design of Our Force 1, including a design co-created by four Nike fans in January 2023. The box costs $19.82, a nod to the year the Air Force 1 was released.

Each NFT will come with a 3D file that the holder can use to “express themselves in new ways”, with future additions of various utilities, including “special physical products and experiences”. It’s called a plan.

“We are exploring new ways to tell stories and build relationships while removing the barriers and constraints of physical products,” said Ron, general manager of Nike Virtual Studios. Ron Faris said in a press release.

Nike will release a beta version of .Swoosh in November 2022. It was intended to be a resource for Web3 education and a platform for buying and trading digital collections such as virtual sneakers. He also said that items purchased with .Swoosh can be worn in video games and in the Metaverse.
