The Chinese market is likely to become an important presence for blockchain games and even Web3 games.
Oasys, a blockchain company specializing in blockchain games, announced on January 25th that it has entered into a partnership with Pacific Meta, a comprehensive consulting firm of Web3, and aims to create killer content by expanding into Greater China.
According to the release, Oasys believes that expanding into regions where blockchain games are expected to become even more popular in the future is important for creating killer content. In 2023, the game market size in Greater China will be over 6 trillion yen, more than 14% from the previous year, and the number of Chinese users will reach 600 million, establishing the region as a major gaming region.
Although China has banned the trading of crypto assets (virtual currencies), the country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is scheduled to release the Web3 strategy document on January 19th, stating, “We attach great importance to the development of the Web3 industry.” ”
