Metaverse-focused blockchain company MultiversX (formerly Elrond) has announced a partnership with crypto-enabled browser Opera to unify support for its growing ecosystem.

Opera users will be able to explore the decentralized internet with the MultiversX network integrated into their browser interface. Users will also be able to trade MultiversX’s native tokens EGLD and ESDT, connect to MultiversX-based NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and access decentralized applications built on the network. is.

MultiversX CEO Beniamin Mincu told CoinDesk that integrating the network into Opera will make it easier for users to access the Web3 ecosystem.

“MultiversX will be integrated into the Opera browser to harness the potential of Web3 in a way that is accessible and familiar to users,” said Mink. “This is an important step towards creating a simplified, low-barrier entry point into the world of Web3 and blockchain assets, allowing users to enter the new digital economy without having to understand the underlying complexity. It makes it easy to access.”

MultiversX will be integrated into Opera’s desktop browser and will also offer an Android experience that allows access to MultiversX-based sites.

MultiversX aims to make Web3 more interoperable and easier to access for new users. In February, it announced the Web3 “superapp” xPortal, an all-in-one platform for users to access decentralized applications and metaverses. It also recently partnered with Chinese tech company Tencent, which operates the popular messaging app WeChat, to help build its Web3 strategy.
