The sports apparel industry is making giant strides to make its mark in the metaverse. Following the footsteps of rivals Adidas and Nike, the German-based apparel giant is also looking to develop its business in Web 3.0, as per the latest job postings on LinkedIn.
According to the latest job opening, Puma is looking to hire a Manager for its Digital Culture division. Most of the responsibilities mentioned require knowledge of the Web3 space including NFTs, the metaverse, DAOs, and more.
The job description suggests that Puma is seeking to build projects in the Web 3.0 space and partner with Web 3.0 companies. It also requires the recruit to “help develop and execute Web3 executions” and “Collaborate with cross-function teams including product, creative, communications, legal, and finance teams to be able to launch Web3 projects.”
Currently, Adidas is the most active apparel company in the metaverse space. It recently announced a strategic partnership with metaverse platform The Sandbox and released its NFT collection in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club founders, NFT influencer GMoney, and PUNKS Comics.
