Rapper Drake makes $1M Bitcoin donation to LeBron James Family Foundation

Canadian rapper and songwriter Drake has donated $1m worth of Bitcoin to the LeBron James Family Foundation, an Ohio-based charity foundation founded by basketball player LeBron James.

Drake apparently made the donation after a significant gambling victory in roulette on cryptocurrency betting house Stake.com, the rapper shared the donation in an Instagram video Wednesday. He said:

“…I had an incredible night last night playing roulette on Stake.com. It was my biggest hit ever. As you can see, I was clearly excited. Any time I get blessed like that, I always think it’s luck that needs to be transferred, or it’s good karma that needs to be transferred.”

The Lebron James Family Foundation is a charitable organization that helps unprivileged children and families of Akron, Ohio through its education and co-curricular educational initiatives.

Earlier this month, Stake.com announced that it has partnered with Drake, a long-time user of the platform. At the time, the rapper posted a screenshot of his Stake account that revealed that he has wagered over $1 billion since December 2021.
