Digital bank Revolut, which already offers crypto investment services across Europe, has also launched in Brazil.

New to Latin America, Revolut intends to capture growing demand for crypto assets in Brazil, according to an emailed release May 2.

According to Revolut, there are about 10 million cryptocurrency users in Brazil.

“Our mission is to enable a borderless economy with financial products that are accessible, easy to use and allow customers to spend their money efficiently,” said CEO Nik Stronsky. “We will start with a global account and cryptocurrency investment, but this is just the beginning.”

Revolut has about 29 million customers worldwide and is looking to reach more users in Latin America’s most populous country, Brazil. Brazilian digital bank Nubank launched cryptocurrency trading in June last year and gained 1 million users in just one month.
