Ripple aligns with the company’s longstanding commitment to charitable causes. People’s Magazine has also named the company one of the Top 100 Companies that went above and beyond to help the community, and their workers, and make the world a safer place.

Notably, the blockchain company previously donated $1 million in XRP to support earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey. Additionally, Ripple’s collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) has made significant strides in advancing cancer care.

One Cause: Two Shots, Harnessing Crypto for Good

Recently, in a joint effort with Shift4 CEO, Jared Isaacman, Ripple Labs is rallying the crypto community to support victims of the recent Maui wildfire tragedy. Ripple has promised to donate an amazing 200% of the next $50,000 in XRP and other cryptocurrencies to the Maui Relief Fund. With this latest initiative, Ripple reinforces its dedication to giving back and making a positive impact on communities in need. Can be a part of image-building in public?

XRP can now be donated to charities on @TheGivingBlock.

Ripple will be joining Shift4 CEO @rookisaacman and the next $50K USD in any crypto donations made to the Maui Relief Fund will be matched 200%.

But the interesting part is Ripple’s integration with The Giving Block, a charitable platform that now accepts XRP as a crypto donation option. So far no crypto is used for such charitable causes. Through this collaboration, Ripple aims to mobilize the crypto community in aiding the Maui emergency relief project.

How Charitable Firms Coping with This Tragedy?

The wildfire that ravaged Maui, Hawaii, claimed over 115 lives and left more than 350 individuals unaccounted for. The calamity also resulted in extensive property loss and disruption of livelihoods. Several charitable organizations, including the Hawai’i Community Foundation, have launched initiatives to assist the affected residents.

In the meanwhile, the Giving Block has established the Maui Emergency Response Fund with the goal of raising $1 million to aid Maui residents in their recovery efforts. Presently, the initiative has raised $141,711, with half of the total being contributed by generous donors and matched by The Giving Block.

As a part of the process, all contributions will be evenly distributed among humanitarian organizations diligently working to provide vital relief to Maui residents. The Giving Block urges individuals to contribute to the fund, emphasizing that every donation will play a crucial role in delivering emergency medical care, food, shelter, and other essential aid.
